TLC, The Learning Community is an inclusive and informal group of homeschooling families in the hamilton and Burlington area. Primarily we are families who homeschool living in the Burlington, Hamilton, Waterdown, Dundas and Ancaster Region- but all homeschooling families are welcome.
Our purpose is to offer homeschooling support and to share homeschool resources, ideas, and information and to encourage social activities for homeschooling parents and children. We do meet regularly in the Burlington area - please contact us for more information. Field trips and outings happen when some one organizes them- what are you waiting for ?
In the past we have gone to Walker’s Chocolate Factory, The Quarry, Nature walks at RBG, African Lion safari and more.
The Learning Community is open to all homeschooling and unschooling families regardless of race, religion, financial background or educational philosophy. TLC does not have an elected leader or executive.
Instead, we encourage active participation from all of out members. Responsibilities are undertaken on a voluntary basis. Every member of TLC has an equal voice. Meetings, field trips, events, and instructional classes can be organized and facilitated by any member of the group.
